Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;

Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,

Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.

Wherefore, brethren, exert yourselves the more, and bend every effort to make for yourselves your divine call [unto salvation] and your divine selection [for salvation] things that have been confirmed, for doing these things you will never stumble,

Set your minds, then, on endorsing by your conduct the fact that God has called and chosen you. If you go along these lines there is no reason why you should stumble.

Therefore, brothers, be all the more in earnest to make certain to yourselves God's call and choice of you. For if you cultivate these qualities, you will never slip,
