For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. |
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; |
For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, |

That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; |
For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord, |
for let not that individual be supposing that he shall receive anything form the presence of the Lord, |

That sort of man cannot hope to receive anything from the Lord, |
