My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials (temptations),

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,

Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trals of any sort or fall into various temptations.

Consider it a matter for unadulterated joy [without any admixture of sorrow] whenever you fall into the midst of variegated trials which surround you,

When all kinds of trials and temptations crowd into your lives, my brothers, don't resent them as intruders, but welcome them as friends!

You must consider it the purest joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials,
