Women, likewise [should be] grave and dignified, not slanderers, calm, dispassionate, and circumspect, faithful in all things.

Their wives should share their serious outlook, and must be women of discretion and self-control - women who can be thoroughly trusted.

The deaconesses too must be serious, not gossips; they must be temperate and perfectly trustworthy.
