Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as if insane) I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.
Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prisons more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again.
Are they [ministering] servants of Christ (the Messiah)? I am talking like one beside himself, [but] I am more, with far more extensive and abundant labors, with far more imprisonments, [beaten] with countless stripes, and frequently [at the point of] death.
Servants of Christ are they? I am speaking as one who is beside himself, I more [in a higher degree than they], in labors to the point of exhaustion more abundantly than they, in prisons more abundantly than they, in stripes inflicted by being whipped, beyond measure, in danger of death, often.
Are they ministers of Christ? I have more claim to this title than they. This is a silly game but look at this list: I have worked harder than any of them. I have served more prison sentences! I have been beaten times without number. I have faced death again and again.
Are they ministers of Christ? So am I. I am talking like a man that has gone crazy - as such I am superior! - serving Him with labors greater by far, with far more imprisonments, with floggings vastly worse, and often at the point of death.
