For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.

For when we were yet without strength, in a strategic season Christ instead of and in behalf of those who do not have reverence for God and are devoid of piety died;

And we can see that it was at the very time that we were powerless to help ourselves that Christ died for sinful men.

For when we were still helpless, Christ at the proper time died for us ungodly men.
