And when they saw Him, they were amazed: and His mother said unto Him, Son, why hast Thou thus dealt with us? behold, they father and I have sought Thee suffering.

So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously."

And when they saw Him, they were astonished; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You treated us this way? Behold, Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You."

When His parents saw Him, they were astonished. His mother said to Him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."

And when the [Joseph and Mary] saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, Child, why have You treated us like this? Here Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You [distressed and tormented].

And having seen Him, they were struck with astonishment to the point of a loss of self-control. And His mother said to Him, My child, why did You treat us in this manner? Behold. Your father and I are searching constantly for You, being in anguish.

When Joseph and Mary saw Him, they could hardly believe their eyes, and His mother said to Him, "Why have You treated us like this, my son? Here have Your father and I been worried, looking for You everwhere!"

When His parents saw Him, they were utterly amazed, and yet His mother said to Him, "My child, why did You treat us so? Just see how Your father and I, in agony of mind, have been searching for You!"
