Most Needed Questions

1 π 2

1) The word "god" is defined as "any of various beings conceived as supernatural, immortal, and having special powers [or authority] over the lives and affairs of people and the course of nature." (Websters)

Who determines whether your actions are right and good? You? Your "church" or your "pastor"? God? Who (or what) is really your God?

To even ask the question stirs up the "right" answer in our intellects. But it is our every day actions, attitudes and reactions that act as a signpost to cause us to reflect and ponder upon whether God (the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ) is in reality our God and Father. God has pre-ordained (for those who claim to follow Him) circumstances and events that "coincidentally" elicit a response from us that vividly displays the real god whom we bow down to, worship, obey and serve - whether that be our own selfish, self-centered agendas, various traditions of men or deceptions the demonic has cleverly instigated us to participate in and perpetuate.

The fruit our lives produce clearly demonstrates the source(s) from which we derive our life. ( Mt. 7:20 ) Those who follow the ways of the devil or who practice what is right in their own eyes can only look forward to receiving from God indignation, anguish, tribulation and wrath. ( Mt. 7:20-23 ; 25:41 , 46 ; Rom. 2:8-9 )

Only as we pay attention to how we respond to and act in the face of God's pre-ordained trials and circumstances can we actively and routinely turn the schemes of the devil into stepping stones that raise us from glory to glory.

2) What do you expect to get out of your interactions with God? Put bluntly, what do you want from religion in your life?

A) A cozy, comfortable, primarily North American religion that calls itself "Christianity" whereby you do "for God" whatever you want to do (within the constricts of your notions of ethical and moral behaviors, of course) while the essence of who and what you are (in the depths of your being) remains unchanged?
Or:
B) A life truly devoted to Christ where everything that is not of Him will be shaken from you so that the person He created you to be will shine forth in your everyday world and remain throughout eternity.?

If you seriously chose A), then rest assured that what you find on this website will offend and anger you. If you want to remain comfortable in your false religion (at least until judgment day), I advise you to return now to your favorite teachers' websites where you can have your ears tickled with feel-good stories. This website is for those who have determined to follow Christ no matter how much it hurts or costs. Proceeding on to the contents of this website could be very hazardous to your comfort zone!
